The San José State men's golf team returns to the Pacific Northwest next week for the Oregon Duck Invitational beginning Monday, March 23.
The Spartans are one of 15 college teams that will tee it up at the Robert Trent Jones designed, 7,020-yard, par 72 Eugene Country Club. The schools will play 36 holes Monday and play the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
Joining SJSU in the field are: #4-Arizona State, #13-Washington, Gonzaga, Fresno State, Kansas State, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, Oregon State, Pacific, University of San Diego, San Diego State, UC Riverside, Utah and the host #8-Oregon.
The Spartans will use the same lineup from a week ago at the Bandon Dunes Championship, where Cody Blick was the individual medalist, fueled by an opening-round 65. Blick will enter the Duck Invitational ranked inside the top-100 of the World Amateur Golf Rankings, and 23rd in the Golfstat Cup Standings.
San José State finished tied for 11th place in last year's Duck Invitational. The team placed eighth in the event the last time it was played at Eugene Country Club in 2013. Blick finished -6 and in a tie for second place that year as a freshman.
Fans can follow all of the action with live scoring during both rounds via Golfstat.
