Men's Golf On Oregon Coast This Week

San Jose, Calif. - The San Jose State University men's golf team are back in action this week at the Bandon Dunes Championship in Bandon, Ore.  The Spartans return to the Gonzaga University hosted event after back-to-back top-10 finishes in it in each of the last two years.


The 54-hole tournament will be contested on the Old Macdonald Golf Links beginning on Friday, March 8 and concluding on Sunday, March 10, with 18 holes of play each day.   Teeing off beginning at 9:03 a.m. on the 11th hole on Friday, the Spartans are paired with Fresno State and Pacific on the 6,092-yard, par-71 course.


The field of 18 teams includes top-20 ranked programs UCLA, Washington and SMU.  Individuals featured are No. 3 ranked Cheng-Tsung Pan and No.7 Trevor Simsby of Washington, as well as, No.10 Pontus Widegren of UCLA.
