San Jose State-Minnesota Football Chosen For ESPN Coverage

Minneapolis, Minn.----The September 21 San Jose State-Minnesota football game will have an 11:00 a.m. (CT) start time and be televised either by ESPN or ESPN2.

The ESPN family of networks coverage for the non-conference game gives the Spartans an unprecedented seventh national television appearance in the 2013 regular season.

San Jose State (1-1) also will be on ESPN for its Friday, September 27 Mountain West opener hosting Utah State, ESPN2 for the Friday, November 22 non-conference home game with Navy and one of the ESPN platforms for the Saturday, November 16 Mountain West game at Nevada.

CBS Sports Network is showcasing the Spartans on October 12 at Colorado State, November 9 hosting San Diego State and Friday, November 29 hosting Fresno State in three Mountain West contests.

San Jose State and Minnesota (2-0) are meeting for the first time since 1992. The Spartans and Golden Gophers each have one win in a two-game series that began in 1991. San Jose State has a bye while Minnesota hosts Western Illinois on September 14.
