San Jose State Football Now With Eight National TV Games
April 17, 2014
Colorado Springs, Colo.----- Six more of San Jose State University's eight Mountain West Conference football games this season will be a part of the conference's national television package for the 2014 season.
The CBS Sports Network will televise the Spartans' Saturday home games with Nevada on September 27 and Colorado State on November 1 and Saturday road contests at Fresno State on November 8 and San Diego State on November 29.
The ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3) will carry the October 4 Homecoming game with UNLV and the October 18 road contest at Wyoming.
These six games bring San Jose State's total of national network telecasts to eight with the expectation of more broadcast news to be announced in the future by the conference office and the Spartans' non-conference opponents Auburn and Minnesota.
Previously, Navy announced CBS or the CBS Sports Network would carry the final game of the four-game home-and-home series with San Jose State and the Mountain West announced the November 21 game at Utah State would be broadcast by ESPN2.
The Spartans' presence on the CBS Sports Network this season with as many as five games will be its most extensive ever. Prior to joining the Mountain West in 2013, San Jose State had only one CBS Sports Network appearance.
