35 Scouts From 25 NFL Teams At San Jose State Pro Day
March 19, 2014
More than three-quarters of the National Football League teams were represented at San Jose State University's 2014 Pro Day primarily for members of the Spartans' 2013 senior class.
Twelve seniors from the team that finished 6-6 and 5-3 in the Mountain West Conference a year ago and 2012 seniors David and Peter Tuitupou were measured and tested in the Koret Athletic Training Center, Spartan Stadium and the Simpkins Stadium Center Gold Room.
Players had the option to participate in the vertical leap, bench press, standing long jump, 40-yard dash and three different agility running drills. There were position drills for the offensive linemen and the defensive backs.
Quarterback David Fales had a 52-play throwing session with Spartan wide receivers Chandler Jones and Noel Grigsby and Brian Hernandez, who played his college football at the University of Utah, and running back Jason Simpson.
Harrison Waidalso punted and kicked off for the scouts following Fales' performance.
