Non-Stop Finish For San Jose State University Spring Football

The San Jose State University football team began its final week of 2017 spring practice cleaning up CEFCU Stadium on Monday, April 10, in preparation for its annual Spring Game, Saturday, April 15.

High-energy practices Tuesday, April 11, Thursday, April 13 and Friday, April 14, precede a weekend filled with fun, networking, engagement and football for the team and friends of San Jose State football.

Friday night starting at 7:00 p.m., the San Jose State football coaching staff will host an alumni reunion. Please contact director of football operations Ben Thienes ( for details.

Saturday's activities begin at 10:00 a.m. with the annual San Jose State University Athletics apparel sale until 1:00 p.m., taking place in the visiting team locker room on Stadium Way. Find team jerseys and uniforms from the Spartans and add them to your collection. All sales are on a cash only basis.

South Campus will be humming at 10:30 a.m. For the active Spartan youngster, the practice field will be the site of an Easter egg hunt and a youth football camp. Contact player personnel coordinator Korey Geist ( for details on the youth football camp.

For the latest on San Jose State University Athletics, the annual Town Hall meeting led by Interim Director of Athletics Marie Tuite will be in the Simpkins Stadium Center's Gadway academic study area. With food trucks located along Stadium Way and concession stands open in CEFCU Stadium, there will be time for yummies for the tummy before the annual Spring Game. Warm-ups start at 12:30 p.m. and the game will kickoff at 1:00 p.m.

And, if you still have energy after participating in the Easter egg hunt, the youth football clinic, the Town Hall meeting, eating lunch from any of the food trucks or the CEFCU Stadium concession stands and watching the Spring Game, line up for a Spartan Fun Run inside the CEFCU Stadium. You can help set a CEFCU Stadium record for most people running in the stadium at the same time.

There is no charge for admission to any of the April 15 events -- Easter egg hunt, youth football clinic, town hall meeting or the Spring Game. Free parking is available in the University's Park & Ride Lot on Seventh Street.
