Four Named To Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List

Nicholas Kaspar, Travis Raciti, Vince Buhagiar and Keith Smith are among the 107 student-athletes on the Watch List.

AT SAN JOSÉ STATE: Fifth season with the Spartans... Returning starter as a defensive tackle... 37 games played with 33 starts... Signed with San José State in February 2010 as a tight end/defensive end prospect... Three-time academic all-conference honoree... Last name is pronounced - RAH-see-tee.

2013: Started in 11 of 12 games... Led the team's down linemen with 37 tackles, 2.0 quarterback sacks and 4.0 tackles for loss... Had a single-game personal best 3.0 tackles for loss and matched his tops in tackles with seven vs. Utah State (9/27)... Also had a tackle for loss at Nevada (11/16)... Led the Spartans with two of the team's seven blocked kicks... Got his hand on PATs in the Wyoming (10/26) and San Diego State games (11/2)... Began the season on the Rotary Lombardi Trophy and Bednarik Award watch lists.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 CalHiSports.com second-team all-state pick for College Park High (Coach Bill Kepler) in Pleasant Hill, Calif. ... Played fullback, tight end, middle linebacker, defensive end, defensive tackle and was the team's long snapper... Also named a 2009 second-team All-Metro selection and the Co-Most Valuable Player of the Diablo Valley League... Was a first-team all-league defensive lineman and a second-team tight end in 2008... Also lettered in basketball.
