David Fales, Bené Benwikere and Travis Raciti are the first Spartans to be recognized for the awards.

AT SAN JOSE STATE: Third season with the Spartans... Returning starter in the defensive line... Slated to play a defensive tackle position in the team's 3-4 alignment... 25 games played with 22 starts... Signed with San Jose State in February 2010 as a tight end/defensive end prospect... A 2011 and 2012 Academic All-WAC honoree... Last name is pronounced - RAH-see-tee... Among the few Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) defensive linemen wearing a single-digit number (3)... Originally wore #90 as a freshman.

2012: First-team All-WAC selection... A first-team CollegeFootballNews.com's sophomore All-America choice... Started 13 games and formed one of the most productive defensive fronts in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS)... Credited with 52 tackles, 13.0 tackles for loss and 8.5 quarterback sacks... 35th ranked nationally, second in the WAC and second on the team in quarterback sacks... Second in the WAC in tackles for loss... One of three San Jose State defensive linemen with 10.0 or more tackles for loss... A 2009 CalHiSports.com second-team all-state pick for College Park High (Coach Bill Kepler) in Pleasant Hill, Calif....Played fullback, tight end, middle linebacker, defensive end, defensive tackle and was the team's long snapper during his three seasons...Caught 24 passes for 357 yards as a senior ...Also named a 2009 second-team All-Metro selection and the Co-Most Valuable Player of the Diablo Valley League...Was a first-team all-league defensive lineman and a second-team tight end in 2008...Also lettered in basketball.
