As a junior, Nunn was named the West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) Player of the Year and the San Mateo Daily News Offensive Player of the Year. He had his first 1,000-yard rushing season gaining 1,068 yards and scoring 11 touchdowns. Before becoming a quarterback at Serra High, he also saw action as a running back and a cornerback on defense.
