Kevin Cummings was named San Jose State University's wide receivers coach in January 2017. He comes to the Spartans after three seasons as Oregon State University's quality control coach for wide receivers.

As a player, Cummings was a wide receiver and special teams player on the 2010 through 2013 Oregon State teams. He went on to play for the Edmonton Eskimos and the Ottawa Redblacks during the 2014 Canadian Football League season.

His playing career also includes two championship experiences with USA Football. He was a wide receiver for the 2009 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Under-19 World Championship team. In 2015, Cummings played for USA Football's Men's National Team that won a world championship.

The 2014 Oregon State University graduate majored in business entrepreneurship.

He is a native of Los Angeles.
