Ginda & Crawford Named Mountain West Football Players Of The Week

Two Spartans are honored for their play in the 16-14 win over Fresno State.

AT SAN JOSE STATE: In his third season with the Spartans... Tops the opening fall depth chart at a cornerback position... Transfer from the University of Washington.

2016: Played in all 12 games and was a starter the final five games of the season...Credited with 26 tackles and a fumble recovery for the season... Single-game high six tackles at Boise State (11/4)... Fumble recovery was at the Spartan goal line and prevented a touchdown in the fourth quarter of the Air Force game (11/19)... Third on the team five pass break-ups... Two break-ups in the Nevada (10/15) and UNLV (10/29) wins and one against San Diego State (10/21).

2015: Did not see any game action to fulfill NCAA transfer requirements.

AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON: Spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the Huskies... Received the university's Mark Drennan Defensive Scout Squad Most Valuable Player award during his 2013 redshirt season... Played in two games during the 2014 season and was credited with five tackles... Had a season-high four tackles in a season-opening win at Hawai'i.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football (Coach Roddy Hiatt) and track and field at Salesian High in Los Angeles... Helped Salesian to a 23-3 overall win-loss record his junior and senior seasons... Played wide receiver, cornerback and was a kickoff returner during his high school career... 21 receptions for 456 yards and six touchdowns as a pass receiver, five interceptions as a defensive back and a 59.0 yard average on kickoff returns his senior season... A first-team All-C.I.F. Southern Section Northeast Division and All-Santa Fe League honoree as a senior... Named to the Tacoma News-Tribune "Top-100"...
