San Jose State Ends Season With 20-17 Win Over Bowl-Bound Wyoming

The Spartans played their best defensive game of the season.

AT SAN JOSÉ STATE: In his fourth season with the Spartans... A returning two-year starter in the defensive line... Has 22 starting calls heading into the 2018 season... Increased his number of total tackles each season... Joined the team for the first time for 2015 preseason drills... Male recipient of the 2018 U.S. Marine Corps Leadership Award at the annual San Jose State University Athletics SAMMY Awards.

2017: Played and started in 10 games... Designated as one of the team captains for the 2017 season... Had at least one tackle in every game he played... Credited with a single-game career best 13 tackles vs. Utah State (9/23), the most tackles by a San Jose State defensive lineman in a game since 2010 when defensive end Travis Johnson was in on 12 stops... Had his season-high 1.5 tackles for loss in the season-finale win over Wyoming (11/25)... Played on both sides of the ball in the Cal Poly win (9/2) as a blocking back and a defensive lineman.

2016: Played and started in 11 games... 33 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss... Had a tackle for loss in five of the 11 games he played... Tied for third on the team with 3.0 quarterback sacks... Season-high seven tackles and a sack in the season opener at Tulsa (9/3)... Season-high 2.0 tackles for loss and a quarterback sack at New Mexico (10/1)... Was credited with a season-high two tackles in the AutoNation Cure Bowl win over Georgia State (12/19).
