2016: Played and started in 11 games... 33 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss... Had a tackle for loss in five of the 11 games he played... Tied for third on the team with 3.0 quarterback sacks... Season-high seven tackles and a sack in the season opener at Tulsa (9/3)... Season-high 2.0 tackles for loss and a quarterback sack at New Mexico (10/1)...Shared the team lead and tied for 30th nationally with two fumble recoveries... Came up with fumble recoveries against Hawai'i (10/8) and in the Fresno State win (11/26).
2015: Appeared in seven games and was a starter in the regular-season finale vs. Boise State (11/27)... Much of his playing time came in the final three games of the season... Credited with six tackles and a pass break-up in his first season of major college action... Had a tackle in five of the seven games he played... Was credited with a season-high two tackles in the AutoNation Cure Bowl win over Georgia State (12/19).
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Chaparral High in Temecula, Calif. ... Did play high school football as a senior... Played his junior season at Murrieta (Calif.) Mesa High (Coach Justin Schaeffer) and was a second-team All-Southwestern League selection... Credited with 61 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles... Was invited to play in the 2015 Inland Empire vs. Orange County All-Star Football Game... Competed in basketball and track and field for Murrieta Mesa High... Threw the shot put in track and field.
