Men's Basketball Predicted To Finish 10th By Conference Media

Las Vegas, Nev. --- As part of the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Media Day activities, the league has released its predicted order of finish for the 2017-18 regular season. San José State is predicted to finish 10th in the 11-team league. Defending regular-season and tournament champion Nevada is predicted to win it again this year.

The Wolf Pack received 19 of a possible 24 first-place votes. The results of the pole are the reflection of media members who directly cover the Mountain West throughout the year.

Under the direction of new head coach Jean Prioleau, the Spartans have three starters and four letterwinners returning for the 2017-18 season. Ryan Welage is the leading scorer returning after averaging 13.2 points in 30 games last year.

San José State begins the year with two exhibition games on October 29 and November 5. The regular-season opener inside the Event Center is set for Friday, November 10, with a 2:00 p.m. (PT) tip against Antelope Valley.
