NABC Release

Kansas City, Mo. --- San José State forward Brandon Clarke is a 2016-17 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District 17 honoree. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division I, the all-district honorees represent the finest basketball players across America.
The 6-foot-8 Clarke led the Spartans during 2016-17 with per-game averages of 17.3 points and 8.7 rebounds. He was voted All-Mountain West First Team and All-Defensive Team at the conclusion of the regular season.
The sophomore from Phoenix, Ariz., becomes just the fifth player in San José State men's basketball history to earn NABC All-District first-team honors. He joins Adrian Oliver (2010, 2011), Olivier Saint-Jean (1997), Ricky Berry (1986, 1988) and Chris McNealy (1983).
Clarke's outstanding season helped the Spartans win the most conference basketball games since the 1995-96 season. Clarke is just 208 points shy of becoming the 15th San José State men's basketball player to score 1,000 career points.
