San Jose State record: 8-17, 1-9 WAC. The Spartans split a pair of games last week defeating Fresno State, 79-71 in double overtime, and lost to Nevada, 76-70.

Sacramento State record: 9-15, 4-9 Big Sky. The Hornets’ four-game winning streak ended with a 67-58 loss to Montana on February 11.
 
Radio Coverage: KSJS (90.5 FM, San Jose) originates San Jose State University basketball broadcasts.  KLIV (1590 AM, San Jose) will join the broadcast network for the Sacramento State game. Michael Spero calls the play-by-play. Broadcast time is 6:30 p.m. (PST).

Television Coverage: There is no play-by-play television coverage of the San Jose State-Sacramento State game.

San Jose State-Sacramento State series: The Spartans lead the series, 18-2. San Jose State won the most recent meeting between these teams, 85-77 in overtime on December 13, 2003. Sacramento State’s last win in the series was a 72-70 triumph at the Nest on December 10, 2002. San Jose State. 
            The Spartans are 4-1 in games played in the city of Sacramento and 1-1 at the Nest. San Jose State’s first victory on the Sacramento State campus was a 58-52 decision on January 2, 1956 when The Nest was known as the Campus Gym. The Spartans’ last win in Sacramento was an 83-58 victory at Arco Arena on December 20, 2000.

Season Best Against Nevada: For the 13th time this season, San Jose State was charged with 10 or fewer turnovers in a game when the Spartans committed a season-low four in the February 11 game against Nevada. San Jose State enters the Sacramento State game averaging just 7.8 turnovers in the last six games which includes playing three overtime periods.
This season, the Spartans are averaging 10.9 turnovers a game. Since the 2007-08 season, San Jose State’s turnover count began trending lower.

Three-Point Shooting Proficiency: The February 11 Nevada game marked the ninth time this season San Jose State made at least 40.0 percent of its 3-point field goal tries. The Spartans are 5-4 in games converting 40.0 percent or better from 3-point field goal territory. San Jose State has a season-best 57.9 percent in the January 14 game at Fresno State.

Three-Point Shooting Record: In the Fresno State win, San Jose State set a single-season school record for most 3-point basket tries attempted. The previous record was 561 set by the 2002 team. Heading into the Sacramento State game, the Spartans have 595 three-point basket tries.

WAC leader in assist-to-turnover ratio: San Jose State is the one of three Western Athletic Conference team with more assists than turnovers. Four times this season, the Spartans were credited with 20 or more assists in a game including a school record 30 in the Holy Names triumph on November 22. The previous school record was 24 on two occasions.
