Men's Hoops Joins Fight Vs. Cancer

The San Jose State University men's basketball team will demonstrate its support again for breast cancer awareness at the February 11 Suits and Sneakers Night versus the University of Nevada.

The promotion is part of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Coaches vs. Cancer national program supporting the American Cancer Society.  The Nevada game will be the second time in three Saturdays that the Spartan men's basketball coaches are showing their support in the battle against cancer. The coaching staff wore their sneakers in the January 28 game at Utah State.

For the Nevada game, San Jose State is partnering with several local organizations to promote cancer awareness and raise money for a cure. Donations to support breast cancer research will be accepted at the game and fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of the cause.

Game time is set for 8:00 p.m. in The Event Center.

Tickets are available at the Spartan Ticket Office.
