Spartans Seek WAC Win Vs. Louisiana Tech

San Jose State record: 6-12, 0-4 WAC. The Spartans opened the week with a 79-63 loss to New Mexico State on January 19.

Louisiana Tech record: 9-10, 1-3 WAC. The Bulldogs ended a four-game losing streak with a 73-70 victory at Hawai’i on January 19.

The Louisiana Tech broadcast on KLIV with Michael Spero starts at 5:30 p.m. (PST). The KSJS coverage of the Louisiana Tech game starts at 5:45 p.m.
 
San Jose State-Louisiana Tech series: The Bulldogs lead the series, 13-9. San Jose State swept last season’s regular-season, home-and-home series. The Spartans won in San Jose, 72-60, on February 26, 2011. Louisiana Tech’s last win in San Jose was a 66-61 victory on January 3, 2009.

Looking For The Shooting Eye: San Jose State is shooting just 36.4 percent as a team in WAC action. The Fresno State game (1/14), in which the Spartans shot 41.8 percent, is the only one of four conference games in which San Jose State made at least 40 percent of its field goal tries.   

WAC leader in assist-to-turnover ratio:
San Jose State is the one of two Western Athletic Conference team with more assists than turnovers. Three times this season, the Spartans were credited with 20 or more assists in a game including a school record 30 in the Holy Names triumph on November 22. The previous school record was 24 on two occasions. Four times this season, San Jose State was charged with fewer than 10 turnovers including a season-low five in the January 12 Nevada game.
