San Jose State record: 6-11, 0-3 WAC. The Spartans lost a pair of conference contests last week at Nevada, 81-57, on January 12, and at Fresno State, 82-73, on January 14.

New Mexico State record: 13-5, 3-0 WAC. The Aggies have a five-game winning streak after defeating Utah State, 80-60, on January 12, and Idaho, 80-68, on January 14 in conference action.
Louisiana Tech record: 8-10, 0-3 WAC before the January 19 game at Hawai'i. The Bulldogs have a four-game losing streak after losing to Idaho, 90-88 in overtime, on January 12, and to Utah State, 69-65, on January 14.
Radio Coverage: KSJS (90.5 FM, San Jose) originates San Jose State University basketball broadcasts. KLIV (1590 AM, San Jose) joins the network for Saturday games. Justin Allegri and Michael Spero call the action. The New Mexico State broadcast on January 19 with Justin Allegri begins at 7:00 p.m. (PST). The Louisiana Tech broadcast on January 21 with Michael Spero starts at 5:30 p.m. (PST).

Internet broadcasts: The San Jose State-New Mexico State game will be carried on Michael Spero calls the play-by-play beginning at 6:30 p.m. (PST).

San Jose State-New Mexico State series:
The Aggies lead the series, 30-12. The two teams have split the last four regular-season meetings over a two-season span with the home team winning each time. In San Jose last season, the Spartans pulled out a 72-70 overtime win.

San Jose State-Louisiana Tech series: The Bulldogs lead the series, 13-9. San Jose State swept last season's regular-season, home-and-home series. The Spartans won in San Jose, 72-60, on February 26, 2011. Louisiana Tech's last win in San Jose was a 66-61 victory on January 3, 2009.

Home Again: San Jose State will play its first home game since December 20 when it hosts New Mexico State on January 19 and Louisiana Tech on January 21. The Spartans won two of six away from The Event Center following a 79-59 victory over UC Davis at The Event Center.       

Another Lineup Change: San Jose State used its sixth different starting lineup of the season in the Fresno State game when freshmen Stephon Smith and D.J. Brown made their first starts for the Spartans. Smith and Brown replaced Matt Ballard and Chris Jones as starters. Eleven different San Jose State players have at least one starting call this season.       

Season Best 3-Point Shooting: San Jose State recorded a season-best 57.9 percent (11-of-19) team 3-point field goal shooting in the Fresno State game (1/14). Twice this season, at Fresno State and at Seattle University (12-of-24), the Spartans made at     least 50 percent of their 3-point field goal tries in a game.

The January 21 game with Louisiana Tech matches the top-two conference teams making 3-point baskets this season. San Jose State has 142 three-point baskets and Louisiana Tech, 141.
