Former Major Leaguer To Serve As Keynote Speaker At First Pitch Dinner on Feb 3.

Former Major Leaguer and San José State baseball player Kevin Frandsen will be the keynote speaker at the 2017 First Pitch Dinner hosted by the Spartans baseball team on February 3, 2017.  The dinner event will give guests an opportunity to meet the 2017 Spartans baseball team.

Frandsen, who played at SJSU from 2001-04 had a nine-year career in the majors with the Giants, Angels, Phillies and the Nationals from 2006-15.  

Chris Townsend, a SJSU graduate and radio personality on the 95.7 FM The Show, will be the Master of Ceremonies held at the Three Flames Restaurant in San Jose. 

"I'm excited to introduce this group of players to our fans and very excited to talk about how much better we've gotten in the last 6 months," said Spartans head coach Jason Hawkins

An annual tradition for the baseball program, this year's event will start at 6:00 p.m. with a no-host social.  Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed by a program at 7:30 p.m.
