USAFA, Colo. -- San José State's baseball team struggled to slow Air Force's offense all afternoon in Saturday's 19-7 loss at Falcon Field in the series finale.

The Falcons (14-16, 8-7 MW) completed the weekend sweep of the Spartans (8-23, 1-16) with a 23-hit outburst in the series finale. Air Force scored at least two runs in every inning except the fourth and fifth, when it was held scoreless.

Air Force scored two in the first, five in the second, two in the third, four in the sixth, and three in the seventh and eighth to reach the 19-run mark.

Hilario Tovar (1-1), Turtle Kuhaulua, Josh Nashed and Jackson Berumen all allowed at least three runs for San José State. Kuhualua's 4.1 innings marked the longest outing of the day, with none of the other three lasting more than 1.1 frames.

At the dish, Michael Breen had a nice day for the Spartans, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Andre Mercurio, Ozzy Braff, Brett Bautista, Joe Stefanki, Nashed and David Campbell added a hit apiece to contribute to the Spartans' eight-hit effort.

San José State heads to Santa Clara on Tuesday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m. for a midweek tilt with the Broncos.
