2015 SJSU Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars

AT SAN JOSÉ STATE: In his fourth season with the Spartans…Earned 2012 Academic All-WAC honors and was a 2013 second-team All-WAC choice…A 2013 San José State Scholar-Athlete. 

2014: Played in 43 games, making 40 starts in center field…Missed 10 games early on due to wrist injury…Hit .280 in 164 at-bats with 25 runs and 13 RBIs…Led the team with three triples…Recorded three hits and a career-high three runs in game two of a doubleheader at Air Force (5/10)…Went on a nine-game hit streak that was part of 20 consecutive games where he reached base safely…27-for-67 (.403) when leading off an inning…12 multi-hit games, including four three-hit efforts…Began the year on a four-game hit streak where he knocked in six runs and scored three himself…3-for-6 with two runs in the Spartans' 11-3 MW Championship Tournament win over Air Force (5/21).

2012: Named Academic All-WAC…Played in 47 of the Spartans' 51 games with 45 starts as the center fielder…Batted primarily as the team's leadoff hitter, holding down the top spot in the order for 38 of his 45 starts…Led the team with 43 hits and 26 runs scored, and was second in walks with 20…Was the toughest batter in the WAC to strikeout, leading with a conference-low 0.21 strikeouts per game…Had eight multi-hit games, including two four-hit performances…Reached base in 19 consecutive contests from March 10 to April 20, the longest streak of any Spartan on the season…Went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs scored in the Spartans' 7-3 victory at San Francisco (2/19)…Hit safely in 16-of-20 games from March 28 to May 20 with four multi-hit performances and 12 runs scored…Had a season-high three RBIs in a 20-8 win over Brown (March 28)…Hit .405 as a leadoff batter…Was a perfect 2-for-2 as a pinch hitter.
