AT SAN JOSE STATE: In his fourth season at San Jose State...can become the first Spartan since the 2004 season to earn four varsity letters in men’s basketball...signed during the 2005 spring signing period...became the first San Francisco Bay Area high school product in 21 years to sign a National Letter-of-Intent and play for the men’s basketball team...improved his free throw accuracy (+32.3 percent) from his freshman through his junior seasons...nine career double-figure scoring games and one double-double entering the 2007-08 season.
2007-08: One of six Spartans to appear in all 32 games...used exclusively coming off the bench...averaged 4.0 points per game and was in double-figure scoring four times...season high of 13 points in the Cal State Bakersfield win (Nov. 30)...back-to-back double-figure scoring efforts with 11 points at San Diego (12/5) where he was the team’s leading scorer for the only game of the season...9-for-9 from the field starting with the Lipscomb game (Nov. 17) and going into the San Diego contest...had a conference scoring best of 12 points at Louisiana Tech (Mar. 8)...5-for-5 from the field at Cal State Bakersfield and against Presbyterian (Dec. 22)...team’s leading rebounder in three consecutive games starting with San Diego and including Santa Clara (Dec. 8) and against Northern Arizona (Dec. 15) when he was credited with his season-high 9 rebounds ...matched his nine-rebound figure at the end of the regular season at Louisiana Tech (Mar. 8)...handed out a single-game career-high four assists against Santa Clara (Dec. 8)...most improved free throw shooter on the team raising his percentage to 67.3 percent and more than doubled his frequency going to the free throw line.
2006-07: Played in 23 games and started seven times...seven starts spanned the last three December non-conference and first four WAC contests...averaged 8.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game and shot 50.0 percent from the field (28-of-56) as a starter...first start yielded his first major college double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds against Long Beach State (Dec. 17)...followed up with his first back-to-back double-figure scoring games as a Spartan with a career-high 18 points at Cal State Fullerton (Dec. 23)...best WAC game was at New Mexico State (Jan. 6) with his last double-figure scoring game of the season, 13 points, and a conference best 6 rebounds...first double-figure scoring game of the season was a 10-point performance with 5 rebounds as a reserve at Brigham Young (Dec. 6). 2005-06: One of seven Spartans to appear in all 31 games...started back-to-back games against UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 18) and at New Mexico State (Feb. 20)...scored 7 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and was credited with 2 steals in his major college debut at Texas Tech (Nov. 10) in the 2K Coaches vs. Cancer Classic...followed up with a 6-point, 5-rebound performance at California (Nov. 30)...first double-figure scoring game for the Spartans was against Louisiana Tech (Jan. 26) with his season highs of 10 points and 7 rebounds...had his greatest statistical success in conference action against Louisiana Tech averaging 7.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in two outings...contributed 4 points and 3 rebounds in the Idaho win (Feb. 9)...had the third best rebounds-to-minutes played ratio on the team...averaged grabbing a rebound every 4.3 minutes of action. AT KENNEDY HIGH: Three-sport letterwinner in at Kennedy High School in Fremont, Calif....lettered in basketball (Coach Dave Domelle) his sophomore through senior seasons...averaged 19.8 points and 8.8 rebounds a game his senior season...was second in the Mission Valley League in scoring and rebounding...had nine double-doubles including eight in a row as a senior...had a single-game scoring high of 39 against Woodside High School in December 2004...was an all-league choice, a third-team All-East Bay selection by the Alameda Newspaper Group and an honorable mention All-Metro (San Francisco Bay Area) pick by the San Francisco Chronicle... ranked #12-prospect in this year’s senior class by NorcalPreps.com... also was a wide receiver on the 2004 football team and a sprinter on the track and field squad.
