AT SAN JOSE STATE:
In his third season at San Jose State...signed with the Spartans during the 2007 spring signing period...first Spartan in three years to receive on-court Western Athletic Conference post-season recognition...with Chris Oakes, gives the Spartans the only pair of top-10 returning WAC rebounders from each of the last two seasons...enters 2009-10 with 60 career starts, 38 double-figure scoring games and nine double-doubles...credited with more assists than turnovers in each of the last two seasons...two-time WAC Player of the Week.
2008-09 SEASON:
Played and started in 28 games...second on the Spartans in scoring (12.0) and rebounding averages (6.5)...one of two San Jose State players to shoot at least 50 percent from the field (50.0 percent)...double-figure scoring 17 times...scored 20 or more on four occasions including a career best 23 points in an overtime win at Fresno State (Jan. 10)...also handed out a single-game personal best 6 assists and pulled down 11 rebounds in the victory at Fresno State...averaged 16.7 points and 7.7 rebounds in three games to earn WAC Player of the Week for games ending December 28...one of two Spartans with more assists (62) than turnovers (52)...three double-doubles including 22 points and 12 rebounds at Nevada (Mar. 5).
2007-08 SEASON:
Named to the Western Athletic Conference All-Newcomer team...selected as the WAC Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 7-12 helping the Spartans to a road win at Santa Clara (Jan. 7) and the team’s first victory over Nevada (Jan. 10) since the 2002 season...one of two starters who started in all 32 games...team’s leading scorer with an 11.3 per game average...21 times in double-figure scoring topped by a career-high 21 at Utah State (Feb. 9) and at New Mexico State (Mar. 6)...led the team with six double-doubles starting with 19 points and 15 rebounds against Lipscomb (Nov. 17) and in the win at Cal State Bakersfield (Nov. 30) with 10 points and 13 rebounds...capped off the regular season with back-to-back double-doubles for the second time matching his scoring (21) and rebounding (15) highs at New Mexico State and a 10-point, 13-rebound contribution at Louisiana Tech (Mar. 8)...second on the team in rebounding with his 6.8 average...ranked ninth in the WAC in rebounding...double-figure rebounding in six games...was the conference’s top passing post player with 68 assists and a 1.36 assist-to-turnover ratio...had at least one assist in 27 of the team’s 32 games...had more assists than turnovers in 25 of the 32 contests...one of two Spartans to finish the season shooting better than 50 percent (.505) from the field.
TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY:
A member of the 2005-06 team...listed in nine games...averaged 4.6 points per game...had a season scoring high of 14 points against SMU (Dec. 1)...rebounding high was five at Utah Valley State (Nov. 19)...collected 1.8 rebounds per game.
MARSHALL HIGH:
Lettered in basketball (Coach Gary Nichols) and track and field...was his team’s Most Valuable Player his sophomore through senior seasons...ranked the 14th best player in Houston by RCS Sports and a top-35 prospect by Texas Hoops during his senior season...averaged 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists a game as a senior...all-region, all-district and the District 20-5A Player of the Year as a senior...concluded his high school career playing in the 2005 Houston Area Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game...was a sprinter on the track and field team.
