San Jose, Calif.-----The top three teams in the 2009 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) standings will be San Jose State University's first three conference opponents for the 2010 football season based on a composite schedule released by the WAC office.
Following an extremely challenging non-conference schedule that starts at 2009 national champion Alabama, the Spartans open this year's conference schedule at Nevada, second in the WAC a year ago, on October 9. San Jose State's conference home games start with defending champion and Fiesta Bowl winner Boise State on October 16 and long-time rival Fresno State on October 23.
The Spartans' one bye week in 2010 is the week ending November 6. San Jose State heads into its bye after the October 30 road game at New Mexico State.
Games with Utah State on November 13 and Louisiana Tech on November 27 complete the 2010 six-game home schedule. The Spartans' final two regular-season road contests are at Hawaii on November 20 and Idaho on December 4.
Game times will be announced when they become available.
