AT SAN JOSE STATE: Fourth season with the Spartans...Competing for the number-one quarterback job this fall...Coming off his most effective spring at the major college level...Has played in six games, all as a reserve, for the Spartans.
2008: Saw action in the first two games of the season...Was 2-of-3 with an interception for 13 yards against UC Davis (8/30)... Played at Nebraska, but did not attempt a pass.
2007:
Appeared in four games in 2007 as a reserve...Completed 44.4 percent of his passes and did not throw an interception...Tossed his first major college touchdown pass at Kansas State (9/7) – a 21-yard play in the fourth quarter...Also saw action at Arizona State (8/31) going 2-for-4 for 17 yards; Fresno State (10/20), 0-for-3; and Boise State (11/3), 4-for-8 for 18 yards.
2006:
Redshirted the season...Was a regular member of the traveling squad, but did not see any game action.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Lettered in football, basketball and baseball at Newbury Park (Calif.) High School ... 2005 Marmonte League Most Valuable Player and the C.I.F. Division IV Offensive Player of the Year... Passed for 4,070 yards and 35 touchdowns and helped his team to a C.I.F.
playoff appearance in 2005... concluded his prep career as the Public team Most Valuable Player in the 2006 Shrine All-Star Classic...Was a pitcher who received
second-team all-league honor.
