2007: Named the Spartans’ Special Teams Player of the Year...24 tackles in 2007...Had at least one tackle in 11 of 12 games...Season-high five stops (1 solo, 4 assisted) at Fresno State (10/20)... Forced a fumble at Boise State (11/3).

2006: Named the Spartans' Special Teams Player of the Year...Saw action in the linebacker rotation and on special teams...Finished season with 17 total tackles...Was one of three Spartans with the last name Jones to play linebacker at the same time in second quarter of the 2006 Nevada game.

2005: Redshirted the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football (Coach Vic Cooper), baseball and wrestling at Atascadero (Calif.) High School ... rushed for 531 yards and eight touchdowns and passed for 1,245 yards and 10 scores as a high school senior... was a two-time, first-team all-league football selection...played shortstop...wrestled at 171-pounds.
