AT SAN JOSE STATE: In his fifth season at San Jose State...Battling for playing time as the Spartans’ quarterback...Has played in 24 games and made three starts in his first three active seasons...2007 and 2008 Academic All-WAC honoree...2005, 2007 and 2008 San Jose State University Scholar-Athlete.

2008: Was the starter in three games...Eden started in the season-opening win against UC Davis (8/30), the victory at Idaho (11/1) and against Louisiana Tech (11/8)...Was one of two San Jose State quarterbacks last season to complete at least 60 percent of his passing attempts...Had his best game against Idaho completing 23-of-31 passes with an interception for 295 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-24 victory...was the most consistent performer in the spring and fall of 2008 to earn the starting call in the opener against UC Davis...completed 10-of-13 passes for 86 yards in just over two quarters of action.

2007: Eden was the number-two quarterback and served as the punt protector on special teams...Had the best rushing average among San Jose State players who rushed for more than 100 yards in 2007 at 5.3 yards...Had the team’s longest run of the season – 41 yards against New Mexico State (11/10)...Also was the team’s leading rusher in the Kansas State game (9/8) with 33 yards...Threw passes in three 2007 games...Was 6-of-13 for 26 yards playing the second half of the Kansas State game...Was 1-of-1 against Nevada (11/24) and helped set up the Spartans’ first touchdown in the win.

2006: Emerged as the Spartans’ number-two quarterback...As a redshirt freshman, Eden saw action in four games, all in the second half...Threw his first touchdown pass against Louisiana Tech, a 5-yard scoring toss to James Callier, Jr...Also appeared against San Diego State, Nevada and Hawai’i.

2005: Reshirted the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football at Temescal Canyon High School in Lake Elsinore, Calif.... A 2004 All-C.I.F. Division V honoree... Completed 78-of-135 pass attempts for 1,657 yards and 21 touchdowns and ran for 567 yards and six touchdowns as a senior.... Earned his league’s Most Valuable Player award... ran for 593 yards and six scores while throwing for 1,037 yards and six touchdowns as a junior... two-sport letterwinner also was an infielder on his school’s baseball team.

MYLES: Business management major... Enjoys wakeboarding and playing golf and poker ... Older brother, Scott Eden, was a running back and defensive back at Army (2001 through 2004)... The Redondo Beach, Calif., native was born on April 24, 1987.
