AT SAN JOSE STATE:
In his second season with the Spartans...First joined the team for 2008 fall drills...Competing for playing time at a defensive end position.
2008:
Earned more playing time as the season progressed...Credited with six tackles (three solo, three assisted)...Had two tackles each at New Mexico State (10/18), Idaho (11/1) and Nevada (11/15)...Notched his first quaterback sack in the New Mexico State win...Credited with a fumble recovery that set up a field goal in the Idaho triumph...Effectively handled a short kickoff in the Hawai’i win (9/27).
HIGH SCHOOL:
Played two seasons at Lakewood (Calif.) High (Coach Thadd MacNeal)...Led his team in sacks his junior and senior seasons with 9.5 in 2007 and 8.0 in 2006...Credited with 61 tackles, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and two blocked punts his senior season...Was in on 60 tackles as a junior...All-league selection who played in the 2008 605 High School All-Star Game in Southern California.
