AT SAN JOSE STATE: In his second season with the Spartans...Competing for playing time at a linebacker position.

2008: Appeared in 10 games in 2008 mainly as a special teams player...First major college tackle was a tackle for loss as a reserve linebacker in the Nevada game (11/15).

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time first-team All-Inland Empire and all-league selection for Chino Hills (Calif.) High (Coach Terry Roche)...Credited with 117 tackles (73 solo, 44 assisted), 11 tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions in 2007...In on 87 tackles (42 solo, 45 assisted), recovered one fumble and came up with an interception... A running back who averaged 4.4 yards per carry and scored 16 touchdowns in three varsity seasons.
