AT SAN JOSE STATE: In his second season with the Spartans...Moved to safety prior to 2008 spring practice...Was a  wide receiver in 2007.

2007: Played in nine 2007 games and caught at least one pass in seven of the nine contests...Hauled in a season-high two receptions in the Utah State win (9/22)...Both receptions came during the team’s final offensive possession in the game that led to a touchdown and a victory...Finished 2007 tied for sixth on the team with 8 receptions...Was on the field at the same time as his older brother, quarterback Sean Flynn against Arizona State (9/1) and Kansas State (9/8)...The brother combination did not hook up on a pass completion...Came to San Jose State as a wide receiver candidate from Los Angeles Harbor College (Coach Andrew Alvillar).

COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Transfer from Los Angeles Harbor College (Coach Andrew Alvillar)...The 2006 all-conference selection averaged 16.9 yards per reception during his community college career... He caught 44 passes for 682 yards and six touchdowns in just nine games last season...Fifth on the team in receiving with 20 receptions for 401 yards and three touchdowns as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: The graduate of South High School in Torrance, Calif., lettered in football (Coach Josh Waybright) and soccer...Had 64 receptions and scored 19 touchdowns in his final two varsity seasons and set a school record with 10 pass interceptions his junior season...A two-time first-team all-league pick.

MORE ON KYLE: Business management major...Younger brother of San Jose State quarterback, Sean Flynn... The two played together at South High School during Kyle’s freshman and sophomore seasons and at Los Angeles Harbor College in 2004...Kyle enjoys bowling and has a single-game best of 263...Likes the music of Motley Crue, Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne...
