SPARTAN NOTES:  A Spartan during the 2011 and 2012 seasons...Two-time Academic All-WAC and a 2010-11 San Jose State Scholar-Athlete.

2011-12: Named Academic All-WAC...Posted six top-five finishes in dual meet individual races...Grabbed second place in the 200 breaststroke at UC Santa Cruz (Oct. 28)...Finished third in the 100 breast on senior day versus Cal State East Bay (Jan. 13)...Had a fourth-place finish in the 200 breast at Stanford in the season-opener (Sept. 30)...Swam a career-best 2:23.22 in the 200 breaststroke at the prestigious Arena Invitational (Nov. 19)...Also set a new personal best in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.85) with a top-five finish at Fresno State.

2010-11: Named Academic All-WAC and a San Jose State Scholar-Athlete...Had a second place showing in the 200 breaststroke at UC Santa Cruz on Oct. 8...Came in third in the 100 breaststroke at CSU Bakersfield on Jan. 8...Swam four different events at the University of San Diego Relay Meet on Jan. 9...Finished fourth in the 50 and 100 freestyle at Cal State East Bay on Jan. 14...Grabbed a fourth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke versus CSU Bakersfield on Jan. 28, and did the same versus Fresno State Feb. 5.

SANTA ROSA JUNIOR COLLEGE:  An All-America selection in 2009 and 2010...Was honored as team captain and earned Big 8 All-Conference recognition in 2010.

CHESTER SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL:  Lettered in waterpolo and swimming as a freshman.

CHRISTINA: Majoring in communications and plans to pursue post graduate studies in communications...A native of Gilroy, Calif., Glennette Christina Bergis was born November 2, 1989.
