Friday night's WAC series opener at Fresno State has been postponed due to rain.
FRESNO, Calif. – Heavy rains throughout Friday morning have caused the Western Athletic Conference series opener between San Jose State and Fresno State to be postponed.
The Spartans (14-14, 0-0 WAC) and Bulldogs (15-16, 1-2 WAC) were scheduled to open a three-game set at Fresno State’s Beiden Field at 6:05 p.m. Friday night. The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader Saturday with the first game beginning at 2 p.m.
Sunday’s game will still be played at the originally-scheduled time of 1:05 p.m. This is the sixth time this season and the second time this week rain has affected the Spartans' schedule. The April 10 non-conference game versus Saint Mary's was also postponed due to rain.
