SAN JOSE STATE: In her fourth season as a Spartan.
2009-10 SEASON: Finished with a 15-16 overall record in singles and a 12-14 in dual match singles...Played 19 matches in the #4 position and went 10-9...Went 10-13 in doubles during the dual season with partner Chau Truong, and went 11-18 overall...played in 30 matches combined on year which was second on the team.
2008-09 SEASON: Finished 11-15 in singles play...7-3 in the #5-singles position, making her one of two spartans to finish with a winning record in a certain position...tied for first on the team with 13 wins in doubles matches (13-14)...7-6 record in doubles while playing with Kerri Kummer, was the winningest doubles team for the season.
2007-08 SEASON: Saw the most action of any freshman on the team...6-11 in singles competition...was the Spartans' primary player at #6-singles and posted a 6-6 win-loss record...played her most successful tennis at the end of the season going 4-3...5-12 in doubles competition including 4-10 during the dual-match spring season...played either in the number-two or number-three doubles slot.
LEIGH HIGH SCHOOL: Three-time letter winner and team Most Valuable Player (2005, 2006 and 2007)...Blossom Valley Division League champion in 2006 & 2007 at Leigh High School (Coach Pam Zeilazowski)...Won the 2007 Seascape Winter Jr. Open in Aptos, Calif....won NorCal Girls 18 & under Sectional four times (2004-2007) playing for the Aces club team.
ANNA: Majoring in kinesiology...has career plans of moving to New York and becoming an athletic trainer...enjoys shopping, hanging out with her firends, and working out...older sister, Tabitha Guzman, was a four-time letterwinner on the San Jose State women’s cross country team from 2002 through 2006 and named one of the Universty’s outstanding graduating seniors in 2007...born in Santa Clara, Calif., on August 31, 1989.
