AT SJSU: Competed four seasons on the SJSU women's cross country team...finished her career with three Academic All-WAC awards

2011: Competed in four races for the Spartans, scoring in two of them...top-finish was 43rd place with a time of 26:34 at the Battle of the Bay (5K)...She finished the 5K Bronco Invitational in 20:06 for her fastest time of the season, she finished in 52nd place...was an Academic All-WAC honoree for the third time in her career.

2010: Competed in all six races...scored for the Spartans in the Gator Invitational (10/8) and the Bronco Invitational (10/16)...fastest 5K time of 20:04.26 came at the Charles Bowles Invitational (10/2)...top finish of 22nd came at the Battle of the Bay (9/4)...was an Academic All-WAC selection for the second straight year.

2009: Competed in the UC Riverside Invitational, SF State Invitational, and Bronco Open...scored for the Spartans in two of her three races...ran her fastest 5K time of the season at the UC Riverside Invite (20:30.70)...her highest finish of 54th came at the Bronco Open.

2008: Did not compete in any meets.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Lettered four years each in cross country and track (Coaches Elizabeth Regalia, Kate Couch and Jerilynn Caskey) at St. Ignatius Prep in San Francisco...fastest 5K time was 20:37.00.

Sasha:  Majoring in political science...plans to pursue a career as an attorney...enjoys reading, dancing and watching movies during her free time...a native of Chicago, Ill., Sasha Martinez was born on April 7, 1990.
