AT SJSU: Competed for four seasons at San Jose State...a four-time Academic All-WAC selection

2011: Competed in a career-high five races...top-finish was 37th place at the Battle of the Bay (9/3)...fastest 8K time of 27:38.77 came at the Willamette Invitational (10/1)...recieved Academic All-WAC honors. 

2010: Competed in four races...fastest 8K time of 27:48.7 came at the Bronco Open (10/16)...came in 19th place at the Battle of the Bay...84th place at the Gator Invitational (10/8)...236th at UC Irvine Invite (27:59.1, 8K).

2009: Competed in three races...scored for the Spartans in the San Francisco State Invitational where he ran the 8K course in 28:30.1 and finished 88th...highest finish of the year came at the USF Invitational where he finished 64th...fastest 8K time of 27:40.50 at the UC Riverside Invitational.

2008: Competed in four events as a freshman...scored for SJSU and had a top finish of 28th at the Santa Clara Open...fastest 8K time of 28:21.80 at the USF Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Lettered in cross country and track (Coach Doug Rudolph) at Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, Calif....named all-league in 2006...Best 5K time was 16:47.

PERSONAL:  Majoring in psychology...enjoys playing guitar and hanging out with his friends...Antonio Cantu was born in Visalia, Calif. on September 9, 1990.
