SJSU: Completed her second year as a member of the Spartan women’s gymnastics team in 2013.

2013: Did not compete in a meet for the Spartans.

2012: Competed on the vault and floor in 13 meets…On vault, she scored a season-high 9.775 at Sacramento State (1/27) and at the WAC Championships (3/24)…On floor, scored a season-best 9.825 three times: at the WAC Championships, against Sacramento State/UC Davis (3/16) and at Sacramento State.

CLUB: Competed for Byers Gymnastics in Elk Grove, Calif., for coaches Eli and Debbie Rodriguez, Ronald Howard and Mas Watanabe…Won 2011 Level 10 NorCal Vault Championship and competed at the 2011 Region 1 Championships where she placed 11^th on vault…In 2010, was the Level 9 regional co-champion on vault and placed second the all-around…Was third on the vault and all-around at the 2010 Western Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Stockton, Calif., in 2011.

PERSONAL: Majoring in kinesiology and hopes to attend graduate school...Likes singing and dancing, and is a member of the San Jose State University Gospel Choir…Alyssa Janelle Montalban was born on July 1, 1993, in Stockton, Calif.
