| Deano Motes | OL | 6-5 | 250 | FR |
Gilbert, Ariz/Perry HS |
A two-year letterwinner at Perry High in Gilbert, Ariz. (Coach Preston Jones), Deano is projected as an offensive lineman when he joins the Spartans this fall. Motes was an honorable mention all-district selection as a senior in his first year as an offensive lineman. Buoyed by a significant growth spurt between his junior and senior years, he only played defensive end as a junior. The two-sport letterwinner was a qualifier for the 2013 Arizona State High School Wrestling Championships. All of his wins during the 2013 season prior to the state meet were by pin fall.
Deano plans to major in business. A Boy Scout since he was 8-years old, he enjoys watching comedy movies when he has time. His favorite is "Anchorman." The native of Mesa, Ariz., was born on July 25, 1995.
Coach Caragher on Deano: "Deano is a big, rangy tackle-type offensive lineman. He has the athletic ability and size to be a very good player. With continued development in our strength and conditioning program, Deano can become a special player here."
