Simi Valley, Calif./Simi Valley HS |
A first-team All-Ventura County honoree as a senior, Travis is projected to be a defensive tackle when he joins the Spartans in the fall. Miller was credited with 138 tackles and 12 quarterback sacks in his two varsity seasons at Simi Valley (Calif.) High (Coach Ryan Taggert). The two-time All-Miramonte League selection played defensive and offensive tackle concluded his career playing in the 2012 Cal State all-star game in Visalia, Calif., and the 2013 Plays and Grades all-star game in Westlake Village, Calif.
The three-sport letterwinner also lettered in basketball and was a shot put and discus thrower on the track and field team as a freshman and a sophomore. Travis plans to major in either kinesiology or psychology. The native of Oxnard, Calif., was born on July 7, 1995.
Coach Caragher on Travis: "Travis Miller is what you look for in an interior defensive lineman. He's very athletic - having seen him catch a flanker screen while playing wide receiver - all 290 pounds of him - and taking it up the middle for a 40+ yard gain! He pass rushes well. He runs down QB's. Travis has the skills and athleticism to have a very bright future."
