A two-time, first-team All-Coast Conference quarterback, David is enrolled at San Jose State and is available to compete for the number-one job during 2012 spring practice. Fales completed 61.79 percent of his passes for 4,635 yards and 37 touchdowns in two seasons at Monterey Peninsula College (Coach Mike Rasmussen). As a sophomore in 2011, he led his team to a Coast Conference co-championship and a berth in the Sierra Central Credit Union Bowl. Fales ranked among the state’s top-10 quarterbacks in number of completions, completion percentage, passing yards, touchdown passes and passing efficiency.
The graduate of Palma High in Salinas, Calif. (Coach Jeff Carnazzo), originally signed with the University of Nevada after the 2008 season. In his final two seasons at Palma High, David completed 220 of 319 passes with six interceptions for 3,267 yards and 31 touchdowns. He was a two-time all-league quarterback and the Tri-County League Most Valuable Offensive Player as a senior. His younger brother, Austin Fales, will be a quarterback on the 2012 Central Connecticut University football team. David plans to major in psychology. The native of Salinas, Calif., was born on October 4, 1990.

Mike MacIntyre says: “David is a big quarterback at 6-foot-3, 220-pounds. He had a very good year at Monterey Peninsula College. He can do everything in our offense. David was in a complex offense for Coach (Mike) Rasmussen. He can run with the football, too.”
