2005: Second on the team in pass receptions... had a single-season best of 30 receptions... one of two Spartans to catch a pass in every game... matched his single-game best of five receptions in the season opener against Eastern Washington... one touchdown play of the season came in the Hawai’i game.

2004: Second on the team in pass receptions... finished with 25 receptions ...had his season high of five receptions at Stanford... recorded his first 100- yard receiving game at the major college level with four receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown against Morgan State... served as the team’s primary punt returner the first half of the season.

2003: Was a reserve receiver and a long snapper... first major college reception came in the Florida game.

2002: Redshirted the season.

AT GUNDERSON HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football (Coaches Jay Carrasco and Chris Bolding), basketball and track and field at Gunderson High School in San Jose ... was a 2001 league "Most Valuable Player” and a first-team All-Central Coast Section pick... played in the 2002 Santa Clara County North- South All-Star Game... has a personal best of 6-foot-8 in the high jump.

JAMES: Sociology major... born in San Jose and celebrated his 22nd birthday in 2006 prior to the start of the regular season.
