For the first time, a San Jose State University football team is ranked in the top-25 in two national in-season polls.

The Spartans (10-2, 5-1 WAC) are ranked 24th in the Associated Press writers poll and the USA Today coaches poll.

The last time a San Jose State team was ranked in an Associated Press poll was November 24, 1975 when the Spartans were 20th.

The last time San Jose State had a national coaches poll ranking was at the conclusion of the 1990 season when the Spartans finished 20th after a 9-2-1 record, the Big West Conference championship and the California Raisin Bowl title.

San Jose State continues its 2012 season Thursday, December 27, in the Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman. Game time is 3:00 p.m. (EST) at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

Tickets for the bowl game go on sale beginning Monday, December 3, at the San Jose State University Athletics Ticket Office, or by calling (408) 924-SJTX or by visiting www.sjsuspartans.com.
