Join the Spartans in the Be The Match Get in the Game. Save a Life. National Bone Marrow Donor Registry Drive, Thursday, April 26, from 1:30-6:30 p.m. at Spartan Gym, 100 E. San Carlos Street.
This is the third consecutive year the San Jose State football team is participating in this community activity. The Spartans are one of 32 four-year schools nationally and the only West Coast NCAA Division I football program invovled. San Jose State is extremely attractive to the Registry because of its diverse campus population. The odds of making a match are approximately 1-in-80,000. In the first two years of their drive to increase the bone marrow donor registry, more than 600 people from the campus and the community signed up to help their fellow men and women who may be less fortunate. |
