Join San Jose State head football coach Mike MacIntyre in the inaugural Pledge Your Allegiance for College Colors Day spirit competition to help the Spartans win the College Colors Day Spirit Cup and $10,000 toward the San Jose State general scholarship fund.

Spartan fans can visit www.espn.com/collegecolorsday and pledge to wear their Gold, White and Blue during the 2012 College Colors Day Celebration on August 31.

All fans who register are entered to win weekly $50.00 gift cards from the ESPN Shop and one of two grand prizes including a $500.00 college shopping spree at the ESPN Shop.

San Jose State  is one of 165 institutions whose fans can register their allegiance at the college colors day website until August 31. Throughout the competition, standings will be tracked nationally as well as by conference.

Spantan fans also can shop online at the new shop.sjsuspartans.com for all their apparel and gameday needs.

College Colors Day is an annual celebration dedicated to promoting the traditions and spirit that embody the college experience by encouraging fans across America to wear their favorite college or university apparel throughout the day on Friday, August 31.

The inaugural national spirit competition is presented by The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), a division of IMG College, and NCAA Football.
