|Women's Cross Country Eighth At SF State Invite|
San Francisco, Calif. -- The San Jose State women's cross country finished with a team score of 262 and came in eighth place out of 13 teams in the San Francisco State Invitational in Golden Gate Park on October 7.
Marissa Buckley was the Spartans' top finisher in 46th place, running the six-kilometer race in 24:52.4.
Alex Seda followed close behind Buckley, coming in 47th place with a time of 25:01.0.
"It was good to see other runners on the team run well for us," said Spartans' head coach Augie Argabright. "We performed well as a team and I thought Marissa showed a lot of improvment as our top runner today."
The University of San Francisco had three runners inside the top-five individually and took first place honors as a team with a score of 29.
San Jose State women's cross country is back in action for their final regular season race at the Bronco Invitational on Saturday, October 15.
