Office Location
The Athletics Media Relations Office is located at 1393 S. 7th Street on the corner of Seventh Street and Alma Avenue. Parking and work space for the media are available.

Credential Requests
Credentials are issued for news andeditorial coverage on a case-by-case basis to those filing game stories, accredited members from established media outlets, and personnel assigned by the sports information office. Requests should be directed to Lawrence Fan, Athletics Media Relations Director. The credential receipient agrees to all conditions set forth by the University relating to conduct and print, video, audio, digital and photographic game coverage.

Press Box
The Spartan Stadium press box is located on the 7th Street side of the stadium and is an open-air facility. Carry a jacket with you. The press box remains open three hours after each contest.

Game Day Parking
Media parking is located in Lot 1, located on 7th and Humboldt streets. Media parking passes for home football games are issued by the athletics media relations office.

Telephone Lines & Wireless Internet
Nine telephone lines and wireless internet are available for the working media in the press box area.

Photographers
Credentials are issued to newspapers, wire services, video crews and team photographers. NCAA rules limit photographers to a wide area behind the restraining line around the playing field and outside the 25-yard lines.

Play-by-Play Television
Contact Lawrence Fan in writing at least 30 days prior to a game concerning video play-by-play of San José State University home football games.

Production Truck & Satellite Uplink Parking
Production truck and satellite uplink parking is on the 7th street side of the stadium. Arrangements must be made to park a truck overnight inside Spartan Stadium.

Radio Broadcasts
The radio broadcast booth for the designated official flagship station of the visiting team at Spartan Stadium is Box B on the mezzanine level of the press box and has space for five working individuals. ISDN and regular telephone service are provided.

Scouts
Space limitations prohibit seating and standing in the press box for scouting purposes.

Spotters & Statisticians
Requests for spotters and/or statisticians should be placed two weeks prior to the given contest.

Statistics & Services
Game statistics, play-by-play accounts and post-game quotes are compiled and distributed. FAX service is available. A meal is available two hours before kickoff.

Team Practices
During the season, the Spartans practice in the morning. In-person, post-practice interview opportunities with the student-athletes, generally, occur at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please contact the media relations office in advance with an interview request.

Nine telephone lines and wireless internet are available in the press box area.

Travel & Lodging
Mineta San Jose International Airport is a 15-minute drive to Spartan Stadium. Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian, Horizon, Jet Blue, Northwest, Southwest, United and US Air are major domestic carriers with daily flights into San Jose. San Francisco and Oakland International Airports are 45-minute freeway drives to San Jose State University.

Weekly Press Conference
Coach Mike MacIntyre and selected team members will participate in a weekly press conference at the Simpkins Stadium Center. The first press conference is Monday, August 27. Call (408) 924-1217 for more details.

Weekday WAC Football Teleconference

Coach Mike MacIntyre participates in the weekly Western Athletic Conference’s Monday teleconference beginning August 27 through November 19. Telephone number is (877) 812-1320.  Contact Dave Chaffin at the WAC office at dchaffin@wac.org to request a passcode.  Using the passcode, inform the operator that you wish to participate in the WAC Football Coaches Teleconference and provide your name and outlet.  A replay of the teleconference will be made available on the WAC's website by following the Media Center link.
