Motto The motto of the strength and conditioning program is, "Spartan Strength - We Build Winners." Techniques learned help build a character foundation necessary to succeed in life.
Program Emphasis The San Jose State University strength and conditioning program emphasizes:
All training movements are sport and position specific to copy a student-athlete's performance on the field. The Spartan strength and conditioning program will maximize a student-athlete's potential. Programs are specifically designed to promote injury prevention by pre-habilitating the student-athlete. An emphasis is placed on training areas that are prone to injuries. While all injuries cannot be stopped, the Spartan strength and conditioning program can decrease the likelihood of injury.
