Shawn Murphy assists with the broadcast. Air time is 7:00 p.m. for the December 27 Saint Mary’s game on KLIV and KSJS FM. The December 28 broadcast will begin at 4:30 p.m. Games also are available on a subscription basis on www.sjsuspartans.com and Yahoo!Broadcast. San Jose State-Saint Mary’s series: The Gaels lead the series, 38-37. Saint Mary’s has won the last three meetings between these teams including a 78-60 decision at McKeon Pavilion on December 30, 2006. The Gaels have won the last two times these teams played in Moraga. San Jose State’s last victory in the series was on November 26, 2000 (82-68) on Saint Mary’s homecourt. San Jose State-William Jessup series: This could be the first meeting between these teams. Back-to-back 80-point games: The wins over USF (82-76) and Northern Colorado (89-78) marked the first time since the 2002 season that San Jose State scored 80 or more points in back-to-back contests. The last time a Spartan team scored 80 or more points in three consecutive games was in the 1996 season when San Jose State went on a late-season surge en route to its most recent NCAA Tournament appearance. Shooting eyes currently in focus: During San Jose State’s three-game winning streak, the Spartans are shooting 53.9 percent from the field including 45.0 percent from three-point range. In the team’s first five games when San Jose State compiled a 2-3 record, the Spartans made just 40.7 percent of their field goal attempts and 26.9 percent of their three-point tries.
