The Spartan Men's Basketball Team came down to volunteer at local service organization, Sacred Heart Community Service on Sunday, December 14th, in order to lend a helping hand in preparing the building for the distribution of 15,000 brand-new Christmas toys to go to local kids in need.
"They did a tremendous job, and it was so heartening for all of us here to have these student-athletes take time out of their busy schedules to help out those in our community," said Kimberly Abate, Development Associate, Sacred Heart. "The Basketball Team is just one of many SJSU groups to contribute to the work done at Sacred Heart. Throughout the year students from various parts of the university come down and do their part to improve the lives of those in the community. We are so thankful to have such a valuable partner in San Jose State University."
