Autins Lopez set a San Jose State kick-scoring record with 96 points during the regular season.

San Jose State University placekicker Austin Lopez was named to the FoxSportsNext.com Freshman All-American team as a first-team choice.

The first-time freshman from Euless, Texas, is one of three Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) players to convert 100 percent of his field goal attempts during the regular season. He was 15-of-15 in field goals with a long of 45 yards in the 52-43 win over Louisiana Tech on November 24.

Lopez set school single-season kick scoring records for most points (96) and most point-after-touchdowns (51). He tied a San Jose State record with four field goals in the 12-0 win at Navy.

The 2012 Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicking Award semifinalist was a second-team All-Western Athletic Conference selection by the conference's seven coaches.

BCS-#24 San Jose State (10-2) concludes its season, Thursday, December 27, against Bowling Green (8-4) in the Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman. Game time is 3:00 p.m. (EST)/12:00 p.m. (PST).

Tickets for the Military Bowl are on sale through the San Jose State University Athletics Ticket Office (408) 924-SJTX or by visiting www.sjsuspartans.com.
