 2007: Eighth on the team in total tackles each of the last two seasons...Upped his tackle numbers from his freshman season with 36 stops as a sophomore...Had at least one tackle in every game...Notched his single-game personal best of seven tackles (3 solo, 4 assisted), including 2.0 tackles for loss, at Louisiana Tech (11/17)...Only quarterback sack in 2007 was at Stanford (9/15).

2006: Earned freshman All-America recognition from The Sporting News...32 tackles, including 9.5 tackles for loss ...Second on the team with 4.0 sacks...Four sacks came against Washington, New Mexico State, Boise State and Idaho...His 32 tackles tied for eighth on team with fellow defensive end Jarron Gilbert...Cole’s 11 starts led Spartans’ defensive line.

2005: Redshirted the season... Earned one of the team’s 2005 “Scout Team” awards for his spirited play.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football (Terry Roche) at Chino Hills (Calif.) High School... Received first-team All-Sierra League and second-team All-Inland Empire honors in 2004 ... Was credited with 36 tackles and four quarterback sacks and was named his team’s "Most Improved Player" as a senior...Two-sport letterwinner who was a sprinter, a long jumper and triple jumper in track and field.
