Pleasanton, Calif.-After starting the first round very strongly on the front-nine, the San Jose State women's golf team found themselves tested on the back-nine and ended the round ninth at 311 as the team plays at the Cal Classic at the Ruby Hill Golf Club in Pleasanton. The Spartans opened the day shooting one-over par as a team over the first nine holes of the day, making six birdies over those holes.
